Located near Louisville, the origins of this distillery go back to eighteenth century, but foundation dates are still uncertain, 1920 being the most commonly quoted, while it seems that 1870 or 1881 are more relevant. The distillery is owned currently by the Sazerac company (Sazerac being also one of the brands from the company, an old style rye expression) but did change a lot of hands & names since the beginning, some of those having giving their names to previous or current brands (such as « Ancient age » or « George t. 1. I would love to have a bottle but as we have talked about before and as you mentioned here. It’s hard to find here in America but not in other countries lol 🤦🏻‍♂️ I can honestly say that I’m done hunting for these or anything hard to find. I’ll leave it to good old luck to find one at retail or even a couple of dollars above retail. Sounds like a tasty spirit 🥺🤕

  2. Hi Greg, not really a big bourbon fan but found this video interesting with good background information. Cheers Greg 👍

  3. Very informative Greg! Covering the history, the background ( Fascinating to hear the background to this story). and what a line up! I enjoyed my bottle of SFTB when I got at RRP for some €85, but would never pay the crazy prices we often see today. It's good bourbon, but not +€100 good imho.

  4. Wow! That's a lot of content to digest if you're not familiar with the subject to begin with… You filled in a few of the blanks in my knowledge, or at least reminded me of some of the things that I had forgotten… Good show!
